Truly faster than most others

This thing is really fast, one of the only of this kind to have USB 3.2 2nd gen, especially for this price. The cord tucks away neatly. I have not had a problem putting it at different angles (see picture). Would be nice for them to make a bigger one with more USB-3 outlets and a microSD slot as many others have, but this has mostly what you need: Ethernet, 2x USB 3, 1 USB C, HDMI, 1 USB C for charging only. The USB C connection to computer clicks in and stays in, and the SD card doesn’t disconnect easily as my prior one did (now returned). Paid nothing for this review, I just like it. Wish they’d make one with more outlets is all – I’ll be the first to buy it.

It says USB 3.2 in the description and the device has USB 3.1 printed on it. So what's up with that?

One of the very few USB hubs that actually implement HDMI correctly

Pros:- Exceptional HDMI implementation. Correctly passes through DDC, which can't be said for 90% of hubs out there.- Good USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds.Cons:- The build quality is very average.- I don't like the fact that the cable is built-in and not detachable. It's also a flat cable, so it will not bend sideways.- Looks ugly.Haven't tested the Ethernet.Overall, I'd say, if you don't care about the looks or the cable, it's a good value.I personally ended up returning and getting a TB4 dock instead, cause I prefer connecting my display via USB-C. Much more pricey though.

Fat, lacking in ports... but fast

I was setting up a Steam Deck for dual boot from an NVME drive in a USB case and looking for a hub that supported USB 3.1/3.2 for higher speeds. Surprisingly there weren't that many. This was one of the few I found. I was sort of reluctant, because it seemed sort of plump and didn't have many ports, but since there were so few choices I got it. And I'm glad I did! With a 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 drive in an orico case winsat shows random read speeds of over 500MB/s and sequential read/write speeds of over 800MB/s! Pretty nice for an external drive! And this hub does have 1GB ethernet, HDMI, two USB-A 3.2 ports, and an SD card port, so it does have all the important ports. So thumbs up!

Slow/obsolete card reader. Missing support for the current UHS-II

Amazing does not support SD 4.0 which was introduced back in 2011. This means the card reader only does 1/2 speed of or if using today's standard/common UHS-II memory cards. Very odd to build a hub with the other up-to-date features and leave this out. I like the other connection options. UPTab needs to fix this design error and would then have a winning product I can recommend.

Great USB Hub

It seems to be of good quality and has all the ports one would need.

Works great at 4K/60hz on a Monoprice 32" IPS 4K monitor

Replaced a crappy USB-C hub that could only do 1080 with this and it works great...gets slightly warm. Also works with a USB keyboard a previous hub had problems with. The way the cable tucks in when not in use as a great idea so this will be a travel companion for me as well...especially w/ how Apple has decided to ditch all the useful ports on their laptops :-)Should also be useful when I upgrade my Windows laptop to something that supports USB3.2 later this year.Bought this from Uptab directly since Amazon didn't have it in stock.

Seems nice, not for me

Seems nice, but the display output didn't work with my model. (yoga 910). To be fair, only one brand did out of like 14

Finally a USB-C hub that works and keeps working

I've been through 2 other USB-C to ethernet hubs and both only made it about a month, (or less!) before they stopped working. My HooToo with USB 3.0, HDMI and power through was even kindly replaced by the supplier when I reported it failed, but the replacement failed too. I decided to buy a UNI USB-C to ethernet adapter. No other functions, just ethernet, and it failed. No I have the Uptab and everything on it works. It reads, writes and powers 2 external drives while running the ethernet and using Power-Through to power my Macbook Pro 2017. My fingers are crossed that it survives.

The only docking station that supports HDR!

Greet docking station that actually supports HDR! Other ones will make your HDR monitor show up as not supported when your monitor does support it!

the only issue is visual!

I wish there was a longer cord from the computer to the device so the huge tangle of wires could be less in my face all the time.

SD slot stopped reading

Well, for about 5 months I really liked this hub. Yes, it got a little warm but not overly hot like some of the reviews indicated and I loved having 2 USB A slots, an HDMI port for my traveling monitor, a USB C slot that took the place of the slot I use for powering my Mac (since the hub provided power to the Mac) AND an SD card slot (even though it only took the full-sized SD cards). However, after working beautifully for 5 months the functionality of the SD card slot decided to take a dive and it quit reading SD cards. Never abused the thing and really didn't use the SD reader that often but no amount of removing, reinserting, trying different SD cards, unplugging/replugging the hub made it work. I have now dragged out one of my old SD card readers and am using it when needed though it does take up one of my USB ports. Otherwise, the thing still works. Gonna look for another hub that gives me the same versatility but if I can't find one I may just buy another of these and live with the very limited lifespan until I can find something with more longevity.

Perfect size.

This product works exactly as it should. It's a great size that works for traveling or taking with you. It's easy to use and seems to be great quality. I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Works as described but maybe not a good fit for IPAD Pro

I bought this to use on my IPAD PRO 12.9" 4th Gen (2020) as a replacement of Anker 5 in 1 USB C Hub that had USB 3.0 only. This hub was the only hub I could find online that all features I needed: 4k HDMI support, Power Delivery of 100W, USB 3.1 Gen2 speed for all three ports, and SD Card Reader. My setup is: 4k monitor, bluetooth speaker, wireless mouse, bluetooth keyboard, Charger through PD, and External SDD.Pros: All works well as expected, power delivery was enough to charge my IPAD PRO 12.9" Gen 4 while connected to 4k monitor and also connected to Samsung T5 external SDD hardrive for video editing. 4k videos were able to be played flawlessly directly through USB C port from the hub.Cons:1. Hub itself gets warmed up pretty fast. It's not to a point where it gets too hot so I can't even touch but it's to a point where I get concerned how long the device could handle such heat.2. I'm not sure why but USB signal receiver for my wireless mouse is not receiving the signal from mouse perfectly. Cursor jumps from one place to another pretty often. It might be because the device consumes too much watage and creates some kind of electrical force around the device.3. If I keep my IPAD connected to all the setup for a long time (for like 2-3 hours), something's causing my IPAD to not work properly. IPAD itself does not heatup at all but it sometimes stops for a brief momment or restarts.I really like the fact that this device supports high speed data transfer. But because all the cons I will only be using this device for data transfer, and use my old hub as main usuage.

Convenient but problematic

I recently purchased this hub to use with my 2022 macbook to add all my peripherals, power and network through one cable. All but the network link are working which significantly diminishes the utility of the hub as I work with large files. I've tried to contact customer support but I've not had a response. The lack of support has left me disappointed. Anyone considering purchasing a hub looking for network connectivity should take this into consideration. The seller subsequently reached out and sent a warranty exchange. This hub works very well and I am updating my review to 5 stars as it’s performance is as advertised. I am quite happy with the new hub
